Book Review: Fire by Kristin Cashore

fireBook Review: Fire by Kristin Cashore

Fire is a human monster that lives in the Dells. She is known for her special abilities to control minds. It is this ability that the royal family wants to use to expose a plot against the king. Fire isn’t sure she wants to use this power because she knows what it did to her father.

I’d started and stopped this book a few times. Guess I wasn’t in the mood. This time when I picked it up I enjoyed it. The world building that goes on in these books is impressive. Now I just need to read Bitterblue.

Quotes:

“He was also wrong about Small. Fire knew the look of stupid eyes and the feel of a fatuous mind in animals and in men, and she had sensed none of this in Small.”

“She wasn’t Cantrell, wasn’t anyone but herself. She had no one’s path to follow. Her path was her own to choose.”
